Dr. Joyce Harman is an internationally respected equine veterinarian and a pioneer in holistic veterinary medicine. A graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, she is certified in veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic, and she has completed advanced training in herbal medicine, homeopathy, and Traditional Chinese veterinary medicine.
Dr. Harman practiced equine veterinary medicine for more than 30 years as the owner of Harmany Equine Clinic in Washington, Virginia. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to helping horses achieve optimal health through a combination of traditional veterinary care and integrative therapies.
She has served as president of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, chaired the Alternative Medicine Committee for the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and participated in the American Veterinary Medical Association’s task force on alternative medicine.
Today, Joyce is retired, enjoying life hiking, camping, and taking pictures around the world. Her articles and videos live on for the benefit of the horse. She also has a Masterclass available, Horse Nutrition and Longevity.
